A New Chapter for European Youth Fencing

The European Fencing Confederation is proud to announce the 2025 edition of the EFC U14 Fencing Festival, set to take place in Istanbul, Turkey, from 28 to 29 June 2025. This event gathers the continent’s most promising young fencers for a celebration of skill, friendship, and international sporting spirit.

The festival, hosted in one of Europe’s most dynamic cities, offers a unique stage for fencers born after 1st January 2011 to represent their nations and experience competition at continental level — many for the very first time. The two-day programme features individual events across all six weapons, and begins with a colourful opening ceremony, where each nation will parade with flags and signs, proudly stepping into their fencing future.

Competition Schedule Highlights

On Saturday 28 June, the day kicks off at 09:00 with the Women’s Épée individual competition. Men’s Foil and Men’s Sabre events will follow (exact timings TBD).

On Sunday 29 June, the Men’s Épée starts at 09:00, with Women’s Foil and Women’s Sabre rounding off the programme. Exact times will be communicated closer to the event.
